He enjoyed watching sports, coaching his children and watching his grandchildren in various activities. He was a 61-year member of the Bushnell Masonic Lodge and a longtime member of the Odd Fellows. His last job was at the Bushnell Post Office where he worked until retiring in October of 1992. He then worked a Mahr Plumbing & Heating in Bushnell. 'Spike' worked his early years at International Harvester in Canton, and later worked many years at Oblander Hardware Store in Bushnell as a plumber. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. He is also survived by two brothers, Eldon 'Woodrow' Myers of Canton and Clair 'Skeet' (Dusty) Myers of Lewistown and one sister, Colleen (Robert) Pittman of Canton. Along with 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 'Spike' is survived by two sons, Ron Myers of Vernon Hills and Steve (Diana) Myers of Marion, Ohio and two daughters, Janet (Nathaniel) Sloan of Bushnell and Kimberly (Troy) Stinger of Wonder Lake. 3, 1949, and she preceded him in death on May 3, 2008.
